Rating: Summary: Manara at his best Review: I first came across the work of Milo Manara whilst browsing round Florence airport looking for something to read on the journey home. I came across this intriguing little comic book called "Il gioco" ("Click" in English) and was completely blown away. There is no shortage of humour in Manara's work, and the hard-core images of sex seem oddly incongruous given that they are drawn in a rather sweet, romantic style. I can't understand a word of Italian but then I guess that the plot isn't a major reason for buying this little book!
Rating: Summary: Extreme stuff Review: In the Click series we get a non-sensical story about a girl who can be clicked "on" and "off" with the turn of a dial. And with that, we pretty much sum the story up. But, this graphic novel gets crazier in completely unexpected situations, all involving lots and lots of explicit hardcore sex. In part 3, for example, we get a girl who can see the future when a special fluid is inserted in her from behind. It's crazy, and by the time this comes, you'll be already used to the overall funny madness of this story. Manara's art really delivers. The girls look crazy and sexy, just like the story calls for.
Rating: Summary: The seller bent over Backwards Review: Just wanted to say that there was a glitch in my order, but Fonguli, the seller, went to great lengths to make it right, and really made a possibly bad experience a very good one. A great transaction!
Rating: Summary: Manara at his best Review: This is a nice collection. Manara must be the best graphic novel artist ever. I would love to see him do film; I believe he'd pull it off smoothly. Anyway, if you're at all interested in any of the Click! series, you may as well get them all in one. Not really about the same character and somewhat incongruous, the series is tied up by the same device. I prefer Click! 2 the most, as #3 is a bit too fantastical for my tastes, and #1 isn't as cleanly drawn. But that's nitpicking. Click! is easily my favorite Manara (so far).
