Summary: If You Like, You Read? Well Keep Reading
Review: This Book is about another poor Japanese Guy around the age of 20 and can't get into his Dream University. Just like a lot of other comics that revolve around poor ronin, who can' get into college, and tries to get into it cause of some childhood promise. This is a extreamly cool manga. Even though it say 13+ of age on the back. I would think it would rather be 16+ of age. If you enjoy Comedy or not, you should read this one. This has romance in it, but the rating system dosen't add this on to it.

For me I particularly like romance book, but when you add comedy to it. It makes it even or unresistable to stop reading. I got the 1st 3 copy of Love Hina, so i don;t know all of the story quite yet. Even if your not a manga fan or not, get this one. It is quite hilarious, its starts out funny from page 3, the only other book that compare to this one is Chobits.

Over all i would think this book would be a nice collection to your manga, even if you collect any. 5 * + for this book.

Summary: LOVE HINA INTRO
Review: This graphic novel is amazing! It's basically about a 19-year-old slacker, Keitaro Urashima trying to get into Tokyo University, because of a promise he made to his childhood crush 15 years ago. Being kicked out of his house, he travels to his grandma's Hinata House, thinking it's a hotel. Turns out it's a girls' dorm. After some hilarious events *laughs*, he gets to be the landlord. The girls (5 of them so far- Naru -tempered-, Kitsune, Shinobu -13 year old, good cook-, Motoko -swordswoman-, Su -has a big appetite & genius inventor-) try to make him quit being a landlord, but he doesn't. They acept him as the landlord (well, most of them).

This book is a MUST! If you get it, you will want ALL of them, just like me! It's filled with comedy and romance. No wonder why it won 'Best Manga, U.S. Release: 2002'! YOU MUST READ THIS!

Summary: Love Hina is lovely!
Review: This is one of the best manga I've had the opportunity of reading recently. The plot is fairly original, and those parts that are not original are played in a fresh, new way. The characters are all well-done, from hyperactive Kaolla to stern Motoki to Naru of the crazy mood swings. Keitaro is charming in his own goofy, stupid little way.

This manga is full of misunderstandings, hijinks, romantic mishaps, and drops in courtesy and decency. But it also has true comedy, deep emotions, and a strong sense of romance.

Bottome line--go buy it!

Summary: Love Hina rocks!
Review: When I first picked this up, I put it back on the shelf several times. But I finally bought it, and I'm glad I did. This is one of the best I've ever read in the romantic comedy genre! The characters are real, likable people, and the situations, while embarrassing, might actually happen to some people. This ranks right up there with Maison Ikkoku and Mars.

Summary: "The Romantic Comedy is dead!! Julia Roberts killed it!!"
Review: While the above quote is generally true, a person would change their mind after reading "Love Hina". This is one comedy series that remains both extremely funny and suprisingly touching.

The artwork of Love Hina is what initially drew me towards the series. Sometimes, manga styles seem to blur together across several series. Love Hina is a refreshing breath of fresh air in the art dept. Indeed, Ken Akatmatsu is the master of the "strategically placed object". There is a very generous helping of fan service in the series, but it is hardly what I would consider "hentai" or even "ecchi". After the first volume or so, the characters and dialouge begin to take a greater importance even over the incessant hot spring scenes.

I don't need to rehash the plotline again, it has been done in probably scores of previous reviews. Suffice to say, that as a student of a very difficult institute, Keitero's (sp?) plight spoke volumes to my friends and I.

In summation, Love Hina is a fun manga series that will not dissappoint. Memorable characters, beautiful art, and an engaging and side-spliting storyline make this one of my favorite manga series.

Summary: Excellent Manga, Surpasses the Show
Review: While the Love Hina series is excellent in its own right, the manga quite often outdoes the show. It is certainly the case here. The books give greater depth and insight into the characters, and wonderful themes of hard work, true ability and the 'beneficial lies/detrimental truth' are at work here. It is an excellent read, highly recommended to anyone who doubts their ability to get a date - there is hope for everyone, no matter how socially inept.

Summary: Quick comparison to the anime
Review: Without a doubt someone will come along with a review comparing the anime and manga and trashing one or the other. I saw the anime first, happened onto the manga. I enjoy them both and am glad they are both available; they have the same characters and many of the same events, but things happen differently (or not at all) in one or the other. For me, that's a treat: there's nothing more futile than reading a book and seeing a movie that go hand in hand (why bother if they are the same?) - but by using different takes on the same general plot the two formats provide variety. I enjoy being able to get a double dose of a decent romatic comedy. As far as plots go, read the other reviews - they handled them well enough.

As someone who enjoys both reading manga and viewing anime, I can only say that the best thing for fans of the series is to invest in both. Of course, readers will prefer the manga, viewers the anime (and many people whichever one they are exposed to first), but there are those of us who prefer all we can get in both fields.

Summary: Love Hina V.1
Review: Wow! The Love Hina manga is really awesome! The only thing about ordering items from amazon.com that are $10 or less is that you can usually get the same thing in a store which cuts off the shipping cost. Other than that, this manga is really great, I love the romance, action and animation!
