Summary: Hilarious.
Review: I found this manga with a friend, who only had vol. 2 and 3, he lend them to me, inmediatly I started looking wherever to find more about the series and finally got the chance to buy the 14 mangas. I have read all the 3 major series of Ken Akamatsu and can only complain about A.I. Love you, otherwise, Love Hina and Negima are completly another story.
I never expected the creator to take you to another level, you kinda start liking the characters... and thats a big point.
The story is original, like the rest of the world, you would never expect to see a Loooser on a comic book, but to find that we can all be that losers and know we can work hard and get our dreams come true, that was the most important thing I learned after reading this manga...
And I believe there is a way for everyone and for everybody. I dont have any more concerns, but if you are looking for a good laugh, you can enjoy the series one, two times, the many times you want to read cause you will never get bored... I can assure you of that!

Summary: Funny but not for the younger crowd
Review: I got this book for my young son, who loves anime, but beware that you do not give it to the young teens. It IS very funny, but I was unaware of the sexual situations and innuendo in the pages. I found out when my sons school called because he brought it to school, and some of the stuff was offensive, and it got him suspended. For mature adults, fine. Funny. But be careful for the young ones, too mature for them.

Summary: Kawaii~!
Review: I have a different copy of Love Hina than the one they sell in America..., but it still is as good... The translation of the copy I have is better, but I seriously have nothing against Tokyopop. I do suggest reading Love Hina... it has a nice variety of genres in it - humor, romance, comedy - and the art is very well done to boot. I chose to give it four stars only because of the translation. After reading my copy compared to my friends' I can seriously say that I much prefer the one I own... and for anyone who is planning to go to the UK, drop by a bookstore and see if they have the copy of Love Hina I own... trust me, it's worth your time and money.

Summary: Love Hina #1
Review: I have just read this book. It is a great book. I have also seen the anime version of it and this book has pretty much the same story line. It's a little bit different tho like the characters comes in the story in the beginnin unlike the anime where it takes a few episodes til they come in. But anyway this is a pretty funny book. It's a love kinda story where a guy is surrounded by girls. This guy had make a promise o the girl of his dream and he will do anything to achive that goal (get into Toudai (Tokyo U)). I rate this book a 5 star.

Summary: Fun and Memorable!
Review: I picked up this manga one day when the title I was looking for was out of stock, and I will never regret it. This book is about an underachiever who has continually failed at getting into the college of his dreams. As a last resort he seeks refuge at his grandmother's hotel, only to find it has been turned into a girl's dorm without his knowledge. This situation quickly turns south as he is accused by the residents of any number of immature acts.

This hilarious start leads into a great story about a young man's dream to attend a prestigious college with a long lost love he promised to go with. Along the way he is confronted by study problems and his own clumsiness, that always seems to end with him accidentally peeking at one of the female residents.

Though this story has its lighter side, and tons of fan service of the females, it is really a wonderful love story. Between all the random adventures and accidents lies a beautiful story of a man's search for love, and his daunting quest to overcome his own failings to fulfill a promise.

Aside from the story, the artwork is exquisite. The characters are drawn in detail, but not so much that it loses its cuteness. Best of all, this story and artwork don't rely on fanciful inventions and out of this world occurances. Everything is very down to earth, and feels as though it could easily be happening as you read.

Like most Tokyopop manga, this one is read from right to left, and there is a handy explanation of this style in the back of the book. Just remember, that the back of these manga are actually the front as seen by western standards.

Summary: Amusing!
Review: I really didn't know what to rate this one...

First off, it was hilarious. I was laughing really hard at some times. The animation was somewhat simple and very refreshing, and I enjoyed it immensely.

But there WERE parts where I was simply groaning. It was somewhat repetitive: Keitarou messes up and does something [stupid], then he redeems himself and comes across as a generally good guy... then he goes and accidently does something to get all the girls angry again.

Yes, I was amused by seeing him be beaten to a pulp by a bunch of girls, but by the end of it I was feeling so bad for poor Keitarou.

Nonetheless, I did enjoy it alot and Love Hina just has this air to it that makes you dying to read more. The characters are addictive, and I've been wanting more ever since. ^^;;

So be sure to pick this one up- it's your typical romantic comedy love/hate with a twist.

Summary: Excellent, witty manga
Review: I was first struck by how quickly they jumped into virtually naked women appearing at all the wrong times! It reminded me, in that sense, of Ranma. There is one scene near the very beginning that would would make me warn parents about having anyone under about 16 read this manga, but it is only one scene.

The manga is well drawn and the author develops funny, yet heartwarming characters easily within this little graphic novel. The author even pokes fun at anime and manga! :)

I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

Summary: A lot of fun
Review: I wouldn't say that this manga is one of the most profound or thought-provoking that I have ever read, but nevertheless, it has remained a favourite of mine, and I advise everyone to give it a try.

The story starts out lightly, and is nothing really special to begin with. This is because it started out as a temporary space-filler in a magazine, but was kept because it turned out so well! Soon, however, the plot picks up and you're quickly sucked in. Love Hina is well-drawn and a lot of fun. I'm usually a fan of shoujo manga, but Love Hina is one of my favourites (despite the shameless fanservice). Everyone should read this - I have, at least eight times!

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: I'm a huge fan of manga. Sailor Moon being my first series. This is my second. I just fell in love with this book and all the ones in this series. It is about a guy who is trying to get into Tokyo University to fulfill a promise to a girl he knew a long time ago. They promised eachother that they would go to Tokyo University so they could live happily ever after as the legend states. The only problem with this is that he can't remember the girl's name or anything else about her for that matter. After failing the entrance exams his parents kick him out of the house so he goes to live at his grandmother's inn. There he runs into another problem. It is no longer an inn. It's a girls dormitory! Upon arriving he runs into a lot of problems with the residents. His aunt then stops by with some surprising news! His grandmother has given him Hinata House! He then becomes the new landlord but the ladies aren't too excepting of him and give him a lot of problems. Very funny comic! I highly reccomend!

Summary: Good, good, good
Review: If you want a light and easy-to-read manga, then this series fits the description. Love Hina is a somewhat different style of manga, drawing-wise. It's softer to the eyes and light in content. Not to say that it isn't aggressive at some parts; there is some level of violence within the pages. However it is not too pushy. It's a fun read and it makes you laugh out loud. The drawings are cute, unique, and entertaining. If the plot became serious there is always a comic relief.
The first book is just like the majority of introductory books in a series- mediocre. However as the series builds on I found it more likeable.
If you have a sense of humor, this is your series.
