Summary: Strange comics and interesting characters are cool
Review: Max Cannon's RED MEAT comic is one of the funniest, one of the strangest, and definitely one of the most disturbing comics i've read in quite a while. The 1950's retro-style art adds to the enjoyment.

Summary: Red Meat is Good Meat
Review: Max's comics are like no other I've seen. Static, black and white line art with humor that's startlingly, sometimes shockingly dark and twisted. Makes for an unbelievably hilarious opus.

Summary: Milkman Dan: A profile in insensitivity
Review: Milkman Dan, although he is a thoughtless, careless, arrogant chap, his brand of humor must be appreciated. His insensitive behavior invokes a strangely cheerful smile. Ever see the way Ronald McDonald and the kids in that restaurant's commercials smile? I find the same grin on my own face after reading the many dialogues between Dan and young Karen. Dan has a certain innocence about him that makes you actually feel bad about rooting against him. Although, like much of today's entertainment, I like to keep the Red Meat world separate from reality. I firmly believe that I will never be too old for make-believe, and the lives of the intriguing characters of Red Meat serve as a very interesting make-believe front that we can all visit, but we can also learn from their mistakes, even while laughing ourselves to tears.

Summary: Funny as hell!!!
Review: Off-beat. Bizarre. tasteless. And, ultimately, damned funny. Trust me when I tell you there is nothing else out there quite like "Red Meat". This stuff is hysterical, and if you find tasteless humor amusing (like I do), you'll embrace this like few other comic strip humor. Take the plunge & get this. It'll tear you up night after night.

Summary: Essential
Review: Okay to be quite honest I haven't bought the books yet, but that's only because I need to dig for a few more quarters out of my couch. I am a HUGE fan of Red Meat, and I think I have read just about every single panel on Max's webpage devoted to his comic. Milkman Dan is one of the funniest characters in short panel comics I have ever seen in my life. If you enjoy twisted humor, you NEED to add these two books to your collection of Dilbert and The Far Side! Trust me, it's worth every single penny.

Summary: Mirth 'til you burst.
Review: Potato-peeled cats? Shriveled clowns falling apart? Johnny's firm, pink Lemonhead? General drunkenness and insanity?

Must be the files of Max Cannon. Read 'em....if you dare the risk of cracked ribs...

Summary: Gut busting humor of the pancreas
Review: Red Meat is a great off the wall, out of the ordinary bit of humor. Max Cannon continues to surprise me in the ways he makes me laugh through his cartoons. The art work may be cookie-cutter, but it is far from average. If your paying attention to the details it'll make you laught even more. Earl Rules!!!

Summary: Twisted genius
Review: Red Meat is probably the most imaginative cartoon being created today. The sparse, minimal illustration juxtaposes the imaginative, twisted humor. Granted this type of humor may be too much for most of the readers, but you can be guaranteed that this comic will make you laugh in a way you could have never expected. If you are a fan of dark humor, I highly recommend this book.
