Summary: speechless
Review: This is the absolute best peice of literature, artwork, emotion and poetry to ever be made. O'Barr has a great talent, and nobody can beat it. I can't think of anything else to say; I'm quite speechless. Has always been my favorite, and always will be.

Summary: The Crow (Comic Book) was a spellbounding book.
Review: I specially ordered this book from my local bookstore and received it two days later. When I got home, I opened it and began reading it. I took in all the love, loneliness, sadness, madness, and rage that James O'Barr put into it. He gave life to the characters. I couldn't put it down until I was finished. My eyes were wet with tears. The storyline is a sad and angry one, but isn't turned into a shoot-'em-up story like most people do. The character Eric Draven is given the most life, and with that life he exacts earned revenge amongst his and his fiances murderers. It was enthralling.

Summary: A classic both in comics and literature
Review: The movie was good, but can anybody really deny that the comic that began it all is better? James O'Barr's self-taught art style influenced me with its touching and unique style. The story is nothing really new, but what makes the book so great is that the story is carried by such visual and emotional intensity. The occasional poems and gothic song lyrics provide an excellent companion not only to the mood of the story but some good insight into O'Barr's personal tragedy. The characters are believable and exist on more than one dimension. Even some of the murderers gain a level of sympathy from the reader (of course it depends on personal point of view). Great action sequences, intriguing dreams and flashbacks, and just a well-told story make this a classic. If the Trust Obey soundtrack album were more accessible with the book, then this would be flawless. That aside, it is still a great book!

Summary: Phenomenal...the best there is, the only there is
Review: James O'Barr has constructed a graphic novel of epic proportions, not in terms of suspense or anything like that, but of grief and raw emotion. This book was the greatest work I have ever read. Mr. O'Barr put all of his feelings into this, and it truly shows. I know most of you won't listen to a reviewer...but I know this is the greatest work that has ever been created, because it was done with meaning.

Summary: Nothing beats the one that started it all!!!
Review: J. O'barr cleverly adapts the book into segments of Eric's afterlife. Such as Pain when he remembers Shelly when it only makes him feel worse. The other books seem to put up a good review, but nothing beats the one that started it all!!!

Summary: Serendipity?
Review: What can I say? This book changed the way I look at life. A tale of true love and urban combat. The book is full of raw emotion expressed through wonderful art, deep poetry, and a cathartic story born from the agony of loss. I just can't recommend this book enough; I have 4 copies.

Summary: True Love...Revenge...Being Utterly Alone...Excellant!!
Review: "Because we do not know when we are going to die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well and yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number really. How many times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood? An afternoon that is so deeply a part of your being that you cannot conceive of your life without it? Perhaps 4 .... 5 times more. Perhaps not even that.

How many times will you watch the full moon rise ...... Perhaps twenty and yet it all seems limitless."

Words to live by...The Crow is without a doubt...THE BEST Novel or story line I have ever seen or read or even heard about...I have been a fan since the beginning and no one actor or one writer..(Brandon Lee and James O' Barr respectively)..could have so elegantly and beautifully captured such pain and loss and love with a single story...The Crow Lives on..This book is worth any amount of money they could charge...I have read it way over a hundred times and I can never put it down...No Matter how much I try...It is just a great story..If you know what true love and True loss is like
