Summary: Watterson at his best!!
Review: Now that Bill Watterson has retired, those fans that miss the weekly exploits of C&H can find the fix they need with this book. I enjoyed this book and would tell anyone new to Watterson to buy this book. It is wonderful, a must have!!

Summary: Classic piece of work, Bill Watterson is the master
Review: Something under the bed is drooling did not fall short of Bill Watterson's comedy standards even for one strip. From Calvin going all out(with his clothes all off) for a bowl of cookies, to Hobbes melting because of the affection of Susie Derkins, this book is someting not to be missed. It is sad to know the Bill Watterson has put the pencils away, because I think everyone who has read Calvin and Hobbes agrees that this 6-year-old is possiblt the greatest source for reading laughter we've ever experienced.

Summary: The Hilarious Book
Review: Something Under the Bed is Drooling is a funny cartoon book. Calvin and Hobbes get in so much trouble and are hilarious. They're one of my favorite cartoons. Bill Watterson is a GREAT cartoonist. I like the way he draws Calvin and Hobbes's expressions. They are really cool. This is one of my favorite cartoon books, because Calvin and Hobbes get into so many funny adventures like Captain Spiff. Calvin is the funniest because he usually says most of the jokes. I guarantee your laughs will be numerous reading this book.

Summary: Excellent second book.
Review: Sweet and funny, with Something Under The Bed is Drooling is an excellent follow-up to the debut of Calvin and Hobbes, Calvin and Hobbes. These comics might not be quite as good as the ones in Calvin and Hobbes, but they are still amazing. The first comic is a hilarious venture into Calvin and Hobbes's world of monsters under the bed. Then there are funny football follies where Calvin and Hobbes are playing football together and they are on the same team, but fight over who gets to make the touchdown. There are other hilarious Calvin and Hobbes comics in here, but the funniest are the three long stories in a row, the special Calvin and Hobbes Halloween special, the comic where the mother gets sick and Calvin and Hobbes try to help, and the funniest one of them all, the one where they introduce the great transmogrifier, which is one of the best Calvin and Hobbes stories yet. I loved all of he comics except for the one where Hobbes cuts Calvin's hair. I didn't care for that one although it did introduce Tracer Bullett. The Rosalyn episode in here is really funny. I would recommend this magical book to anyone who likes Calvin and Hobbes. Even if you don't like Calvin and Hobbes, it is a treasure to add to anyone's book collection.

Summary: Brilliant.
Review: That's the best way to describe Calvins and Hobbes. Im my opinion (although I'm not really a cartoon junkie), I'd go as far to say it was the best cartoon I've ever seen. Recently, I was bored and looking through my library, I found this book (among other [Calvin and Hobbes] books). After reading it all the way through in one sitting, I realized why I liked it so much to begin with. It's funny, amusing, clevery, and witty. The whole focus (for those who have never seen the cartoon back when it was printed in papers), is about an intellectual 6 year old boy (Calvin) who has a great imagination and is mischievous. To varying degrees, we can all recall being young and only wanting to go out and play. Calvin is no different. He pretends to be dinosours and Spaceman Spiff among other things. One of the things that differentiates this cartoon from other family based cartoons is the interaction with Calvin's imaginary friend, his stuffed animal, Hobbes. Through his imagination, Calvin brings Hobbes to life as a completely different, more mature person. Other characters include Calvin's father and mother (which remain unnamed), his girl neighbor, Susie, Calvin's teacher, and the neighborhood bully. You can look back on it at an older age and read it with nostalgic amusement. It's the kind of book you can read straight through, come back some time later, and read it all over again without the work lacking value.

For example (I chose at random), Calvin is in math class taking a test. The conversation goes along like so:
Calvin: "Psst... Susie! What's 12 + 7?"
Susie: "A billion."
Calvin: "Thanks!"
Calvin: "Wait a minute. That can't be right..."
Calvin: "That's what she said 3 + 4 was."

Although I can't compare it to his other Calvin and Hobbes books (because I have not read them in a while), I can say I enjoyed pretty much all of them, and I certainly recommend these books. Even my father, who is considerably older of course, read these books and felt they were clever and funny. I recommend this book, even for those not crazy about cartoons. Hats off to Bill Watterson.

Summary: DOES it deserve anything less then a 5????
Review: The 1st Calvin and hobbes book I ever owned, and one of the most treasured. Many people try to argue as to which is THE BEST Calvin and Hobbes collection, and although some like the 10th Anniversary Book are a must-have for any C&H fan, Frankly they ALL ARE THE BEST. All the collections rate as 100% satisfaction, and ANY book will provide great humor and entertainment. You can Never get tired or board of reading such books, EVER!

As regards the book, in general, it describes the various escapades and adventures of a 6 year old Hyperactive Calvin and his stuffed pet' tiger, Hobbes, who comes to life in Calvin's eyes and noone else's.

I DEFINITELY recommend this book to anyone who wants to enjoy a great laugh. This definitely rates as an all-time classic, and I wish i was able to give it more then a mere 5 STARS!!!
