Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Life and love and the challenges that go with them Review: Murakami-san has created one of the most amazing manga stories in recent years. Aside from it having excellent artwork throughout, she puts alot into the characters which allows the reader to easily associate with one or more of them. The story itself follows Shuichi Shindou and his best friend Hiroshi Nakano as they attempt to get their band, Bad Luck, into the mainstream. Along the way, Shuichi falls in love with a narcisistic novel writer, who eventually returns that love. It's not an easy, happy life though, there's always a new problem in their personal lives or those of their friends to complicate things. It's nice to see the North American audience realizing that same sex love is not the repulsive thing that many think it to be, and it can be very sweet and romantic. That is what Maki Murakami accomplishes with this series. If you are open-minded enough to appreciate love in all it's forms, then this is for you. I have spent the past three years working on translating the Japanese manga for the series, so I can safely say that you will not be diappointed with this series!! From beginning to end, you will fall in love with at least one of the characters.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Metropolis Review: This book reads left to right, the original Japanese way. But ANYWAY. THe moment I opened the cover and saw the first page of art, I immediately fell in love with Maki Murakami's art style. The art is so intricate, acceptably detailed, and alluring. Sort of like an 'eye candy' type thing. But not only is the art in this volume beautifull, so is the story line. hehe. It's about a crazy high school boy, mainly, called Shuichi Shindou who is trying to make it as a techno star, like his idol, Ryuichi Sakuma. Shindou's gay, as we find out, and he falls in love with a writer, Eiri Yuki.<---Eiri's not really that homosexual. This book develops the characters, the basis of the plot, and ends with a wrenching cliffhanger. But cliffhangers are okay, right? (hehe more money for the producers, then, becuase you'll want to purchase the next book) I don't know what else to say. This volume is really awesome, and ought to get one hooked on the series.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I love this book!! Review: This first volume is absolutely fabulous. I couldn't set the book down once I got it. I suggest it to every shounen-ai manga/anime fan that likes romance/emotion/humor series. THIS IS ONE OF MY ALL-TIME FAVORITES!! I absolutely adore this series. This first book is very cute and the artwork is adorable. Shindou Shuichi is very much like a famale in a male's body, but it's so CUTE!!!!

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: ...Perfect! Review: This is the first installment in Murakami's five star shonen-ai manga, Gravitation. The art here is beautiful, but it changes starting with the second volume. It starts off mainly when Shuichi Shindo, a high school senior and amateur singer, walks home from work one day, taking a shortcut through the park. A gust of wind carries off a paper containing his lyrics, only to be picked up a few feet away by a blond-haired man whom Shuichi mistakes for a foreigner. The man, after reading the music, criticizes Shuichi unmercifully. Such a simple encounter, yet it would be these vital ten or fifteen minutes that would thrust both men into a love story so outrageous, it could only be the inevitable work of gravitation.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Best Shonen-ai Manga Period! Review: This tale of two star crossed lovers starts off slow then escalates into the sick and twisted series that many all over the world have come to know and love. Our tale starts off with our poor dimwitted friend Shuichi Shindou and his best friend Hiroshi Nakano trying to make it big in the music world. One night on his way home from work Shuichi runs into the coldly charismatic Eiri Yuki, who reviews Shuichi's lyrics and tells him they're crap, forever entwining the two in pointless arguements and an amourous love.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great Shounen Ai Manga! Review: Wow! I bought this right when it came out. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I absolutely can't wait until the next volume comes out in October! Until then, I'll cry myself silly. :( Volume 2, I need you!!! But anyway, the artwork is great, the characters are very funny, and the story is deep but still has its laugh-out-loud moments. I would reccomend this to anyone who likes a great manga story. ONE exception though. This contains strong shounen ai (literally, boy's love) themes. If this bothers you, this isn't for you. Personally, I LOVE shounen ai, and I think everyone should give it a chance. A must-have for any otaku! ^__^
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Spicing up the Marmalade Review: You know what? It rocks! Shuichi and Yuki are unforgettable, the art starts out pretty unimpressive but as the series progresses it gets significantly better. There is a (dirty) *unedited* version available in Japan of this manga and also a TV seires and two OVA movies (Japanese and rumored to be coming stateside soon). This "clean" manga is by far the best medium for this story. There are also soundtracks from the TV series available here on Amazon that should include the infamous Spicy Marmalade song!
