Summary: not always hilarious, but always cute and tasteful....
Review: Get Fuzzy seems to only get funnier. This well-received book form delivers the comedy that you've come to expect. watch Bucky, Rob and Satchel develop as the characters they are today by reading these early comics. A must for any Get Fuzzy fan. Thanks Darby Conley!

Summary: Best strip since Calvin and Hobbes!
Review: Get Fuzzy has got to be the funniest strip since Calvin and Hobbes! I love all the characters and Darby's art is excellent for a "simple" cartoonist. I canot wait to see more of these books.
Bucky is hysterically funny in his arrogance and ignorance.
And Satchel is just so sweet and innocent..
Darby is obviously very intelligent and has a great sense of humor..want proof? Then buy this book!!!!! Maybe that is where some folks get lost, his humor can go past the norm of comic strip humor and maybe some people just can't stand that.
You know I was just reading some of the ridculous reviews that have appeared after mine and I'm sure Amazon isn't aware that a large number of people, or possibly just one person, is/are doing false reviews of this book.
Whoever keeps talking about Vietnam, Gumby and colon cancer and whatever is completely fabricating their review folks! Those scenarios do not exist in this book!
And for those who continue to bash Mr. Conley's work and say it is no Bloom County etc I have to say that Mr. Breathed and Mr. Waterson have both aknowledged how prior comics have influenced the look and even sometimes the story of their strips. Look at strips like Pogo and Kazenjammer Kids (Sp?). What about Peanuts? IF Darby is copying Bloom County and Cavin and Hobbes aren't they just copying Peanuts with its talking dog and children speaking and acting like adults? Calvin and his constant school problems could almost mirror Pepermint Patty and hers,

Get off it folks! All comic strips are influenced in some way by their predacessors, but it takes a rare talent who can make it new. I see nothing plagerisitic in Get Fuzzy, it is just the next generation of humor and it is about time too.
Garfield move over, you stopped being funny years ago. Bucky is now in command!

Summary: Wonderful and Charming
Review: This is a great comic strip. Lighthearted and pleasant. Makes you realize the simple things are still what matter most in life. The characters share the limelight. That is the best part of it all, you get to follow along with their adventures as if you were there with them. Great for young readers as well as old.

Summary: Is it Insanity?
Review: Get Fuzzy is so cool. How could american comic strip readers give it a bad review? Is it insanity? Bucky is the coolest cat ever invented. Satchel's the cute, innocent puppy. And Rob is trying to set Bucky straight. I love Get Fuzzy. How could you not?
If you think that Get Fuzzy is a bad comic strip, then read the and "30 days of Get Fuzzy on Comic Strips.com under Get Fuzzy. That might change your mind.
E-mail me if Get Fuzzy's gone bad. That'll be never. You gotta be cray not to love get fuzzy, and of course bucky, satchel, and Rob.

Summary: C'mon people
Review: This comic strip is an absolute hoot. I don't have any pets and I still relate to the Seinfeldian humor. It is witty, sarcastic and endearing. Love it, love it.

Summary: Darby Conley knows cats and dogs
Review: Get Fuzzy is a wry and sarcastic look at what cats and dogs (probably) think. This strip is laugh-out-loud at times, and at other times will make you smile knowingly if you have or know a cat or dog. There are dry humor and culture references here, and that may be why some people aren't getting it. If that's the sort of humor you're looking for, though, you'll love this book. Bucky Katt, the one-fanged Siamese is the funniest element here. He has absolutely no tact, is completely self absorbed...and lovingly carries around a little toy bear called Smacky. The sweet, naive dog, Satchell Pooch dresses as a vacuum for Halloween because it's the scariest thing he can think of. This really is good stuff - I bought this collection as soon as it came out and it's the only comics collection I pick up and re-read. Check out the website (get to it through the Dilbert site) and see the latest Get Fuzzys.

Summary: Yea Darby!
Review: Get Fuzzy is now officially my favorite cartoon. Darby Conley has a great sense of humor and a good eye for expressions. I loved this book and anyone who enjoys his comics will, too.

Thank you Darby for a great strip that always brightens my day!

Summary: Some people just don't get it.
Review: There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who think comic strips about talking animals are funny and those that do not. I think the two best strips today are Get Fuzzy and Mutts, both of which star talking animals, so I am one of the former.

If you enjoy talking animal strips, Get Fuzzy is one of the freshest most beautifully drawn strips today. And I believe it rates right up there with Bloom County, Calvin and Hobbs, and the Far Side.

P.S. For those of you who miss the "Good Old Days", try checking out King Features Syndicate. They carry several of the older strips.

Summary: A much needed laugh!
Review: "Get Fuzzy" was delivered to my home few of days after the Sept. 11th tradegy. It was a welcome relief to read something so funny compared to the days of sadness and sorrow in the newspapers and on television. I read it cover to cover in an hour or so, laughing so hard I had tears of happiness in my eyes. Thanks to Darby Conley for a very funny book. He's obviously a true animal lover and a sensitive human being. I admire him for the way he has tastefully addressed blood donations to the Red Cross and honoring our fallen firefighters with respect and dignity in his recent daily strips. I look forward to more "Get Fuzzy" books!
