Summary: This Strip is Bad: The Only Rule!
Review: Before anyone else purchases this garbage be forwarned, it IS NOT Bloom County, The Far Side, Calvin and Hobbes or any other sarcastic comic that rips on pop culture and politics. It is hardly the great comics of the past. Save your money. If you think this is like those strips you will be greatly disappointed.
Also Darby, stop trying to make Satchel into Opus, I mean think about it. The scene where you show Satchel complaining about his nakedness in the shower was done about fifteen years earlier In Bloom County. Opus said almost exactly the same thing in almost the exact same context. The people who were not around long enough to remember Bloom County in its hayday have no idea what I am talking about, but there are those who remember Bloom County and can call you on this. That is why people should stear clear of Get Fuzzy, all the material has been done before, and a lot better!!!

Summary: Meet "Get Fuzzy" - you will never regret it.
Review: I couldn't believe the comic strip. I actually laughed out loud at Bucky, Satchel and Rob's irrepressible antics. The comic strip was the first thing I looked at when I opened the paper in the morning.

Then - while browsing at a book store - I found it . . ."Get Fuzzy: The Dog is Not a Toy (House Rule #4)," Darby Conley's first book. Yes Virginia. . .there is a Santa Claus!

If you haven't met Bucky, Satchel and Rob yet, this book is a great introduction to the threesome. Bucky the cat is so irritating, he's lovable. Satchel, the mixed breed canine, has a heart of gold and gives everyone - even Bucky - the benefit of the doubt. Their human, Rob, is the glue that holds everything together.

In no time at all you'll be believing the three are real and you'll wish they lived next door to you. Don't miss this opportunity to laugh out loud.

Summary: I love bucky!!
Review: How can anyone not love this strip?? Anyone that has ever had a cat and/or dog knows that there is a lot of truth to this comic!! Get Fuzzy is the highlight of my morning read of the papers!

Summary: Buy This Book!!
Review: If you have any appreciation for humor, buy this book! I discovered this comic strip online recently and I could not get enough of it. It is, by far, one of the funny strips in existence. You *will* laugh out loud.
On top of the brilliant, Gen-X style, humor, Conely's art is also fantastic. He makes excellent use of perspective, which adds a depth and feel to this comic that so many lack.
Be careful though, because as soon as you've finished reading it, you'll be rushing back to by the second book!

Summary: Charming pet fun
Review: "Get Fuzzy" is the anti-"Mutts," a strip more about the trials and tribulations than the joys of owning a pet. With an enjoyably nutty cast and a charming drawing style, this is a fun way to spend an afternoon.

Rob is an ordinary single guy, mild mannered and unassuming. He does, however, own two unusual pets: Satchel, a sensitive, pleasant dog; and Bucky, a psychotic befanged Siamese who rules the household in a bad-boy-cat manner. They handle such hijinks as Rob's love life, Bucky's love life, Satchel's insecurities about privacy in the shower (and the distinction between naked and shower-naked), Buck's assault on a Tickle-Me-Elmo, an unfortunate run-in with a rock garden, pets ringing up giant credit bills with waterbeds and Barry Manilow CDs, trips to the vet, Bucky's spot as a commercial cat, and the one thing in the world that can scare a psychotic kitty into a state of petrification.

It's a crazy little world full of slightly off-kilter characters. As the title suggests, Rob attempts some kind of order in a parental manner despite the ruckus that his pets raise together. Conley has a cute drawing style, with the slightly blobby Satchel and blobby-but-mean-looking Bucky.

Despite the fact that smart mean cat, stupid dog and mild-mannered single guy have all been done elsewhere, "Get Fuzzy" is an enjoyable spin on them.

Summary: Loved it
Review: I originally found this comic in my college's newspaper, and have been a fan ever since. The wit, the characters, the laughs, how could I not be entranced? Bucky is the typical cat in so many ways, Satchel the typical dog, combine them with Rob their own and you have a wonderful comic. Before this comic came out I got my comic fix with Garfield and Foxtrot, while I still read these, Get Fuzzy is my number 1 choice. For those who compare it to other comics, there really is no comparison, each is it's own, and they are probably being a little biased. Give Get Fuzzy a try, you'll enjoy it.
The Dog is Not a Toy is a wonderful beginning point for anybody wishing to get into this comic, the only thing more that I could ask for is colored Sunday strips.

Summary: Fresh, new, and funny
Review: One of the best comic strips going today along with such greats as Foxtrot and Pickles. Helped me to fill the void once Garfield became repitious and unfunny. I already have both books available and can't wait for the next one to come out. Like Calvin and Hobbes it has a look that is more than just talking heads. A recommended read.

Summary: Can't Get Enough of Get Fuzzy!
Review: I'm addicted to this cartoon and have made many of my friends fans as well! My friends gave me this book as a going away gift and I have gotten endless laughs with it. It's so funny and so right on target. As I sit on my own couch, squeezed between my own dog and cat, I can't help but relate to the strange Get Fuzzy family.

Summary: The First Outrageous Collection of the New Cartoon Phenom!!!
Review: From punching the stuffing out of a "Tickle-me Elmo" doll, calling a phsycic hotline, dating a persian, or breaking things & calling it 'art,' Bucky Katt (a very pushy talking cat) is what makes "Get Fuzzy" outrageous. Various episodes with apartment-mates Satchel, the most kind, generous, and stupid talking dog ever to reach the funny pages, and date-desprate human Rob Wilco, who usually plays the role of Dad: result in nonstop laughter.

I must say, Darby Conely's art makes "Get Fuzzy" (besides the fact that animals can talk and walk just like everyone else) one of the most realistic cartoons created. I applaud "Darb" for all of his hours of hard work to make this book. It is a must-have for anybody who wants or needs some good laughs.
