Summary: Bucky and Satchel - Perfect Together
Review: The Get Fuzzy comic strip has been a source of joy to me almost since its inception. Being the owner of a sweet but dumb dog (sorry Buddy) and a scheming cat (ouch! sorry, Daffy!) I can relate to the ever patient Rob Wilco, owner of Bucky and Satchel.

This is a wonderful book. The characters take a little getting used to, but once you are in their realm, you'll never leave.

Curiously drawn, they may become very real members of your family, as they have mine. You may just well love this book!!

Summary: Fabulous book keeps you laughing
Review: "Get Fuzzy" is defenitely the best of today's comics. Any pet owner can completely identify with the strange and egotistical cat Bucky and sweet but naiive dog Satchel. I find myself getting out of bed only to read this fresh and fun strip in the morning paper. If you are looking for a laugh this book is it! I have read it at least 4 times and still find myself in hysterics each time. Its a comforting book for those pet owners with their own demented pets - you're not alone!

Summary: Hysterial
Review: To anyone who thinks that their pets have personalities (or dares NOT admit that they think that!): this book is for you!! Every week, he gives personality to the animals that only a true pet lover would apprecite. I've lost count of the number of times I've laughed until I had tears in my eyes at this strip in the newspaper - I simply had to have the book!

Summary: this book is timeless!
Review: I've been waiting for a Get Fuzzy book forever! it's hilarius. you don't have to own a cat & a dog to enjoy it. i've looked at it several times; now i've written down my favorite page numbers for quick viewing! this book is a must buy. my girlfriends birthday gifts are already on their way. thanks Darby Conley!

Summary: Cat toys
Review: I asked my cat for some help with the review but she just gave me that look of total disdain, as if writing a review was beneath her. Sort of like the main character, Bucky the Cat.

This collection is perhaps better than most because the material is rather fresh. Both of the main characters [cat & dog] are drawn with refreshing realism. The dialog sparkles with wit.

Buy the book to help encourage the author to keep drawing the strip. Better yet, buy the book because it's so entertaining.

Summary: A Breath of Fresh Air!
Review: As the proud owner of cats and dogs(2 of each), I can honestly say that Darby Conley is on target with his hilarious portrayal of life with pets. The comparisons to "Garfield" are inevitable, and maybe all too easy, but the two are nothing alike: Bucky, while cynical and somewhat misanthropic, has a sensitive side and feels genuine affection for his housemates despite himself. Satchel, though not the brightest bulb in the lamp, is gentle and sweet-natured and more like a real dog. Rob, the 'owner' who is unlucky in love, is a hardworking Everyman with the patience of a saint and the heart of an angel.

Funny, warped, and touching at times, "Get Fuzzy" is just the comic for the jaded comic reader who's tired of the same-old, same-old. Conley's comic strp is a true breath of fresh air.

Summary: Not Enough of a Good Thing
Review: It's rarre that I laugh out loud at anything, but I found myself giggling hysterically at "Get Fuzzy" every time I came across it in the newspaper. Imagine my joy at finding this entire book full of weekly strips!

Bucky the psychotic cat is a study in perverse sensibility. Satchel, the long-suffering dog, is a psychic sponge, alternately sucking the rationale of Rob (the pair's "owner") or Bucky, as the moment strikes.

Frankly, just looking at the way Conley draws Bucky & Satchel, with pot bellies and little round feet, makes me laugh; it dosn't hurt that Conley's sense of humor is also as sharp as Bucky's single fang.

Summary: Get Fuzzy Rocks!
Review: Darby Conelys first book of his soon to be infamous cat Bucky and his poor little sidekick Satchel is great, page after page. One can see the development of the characters and even hairstyles on the human keeper, Rob (thanks to bucky ). I savored every page, laughing out loud and not wanting it to end. Get Fuzzy is a must for every comic fan. Write you newspapers, get a daily dose of Get Fuzzy, and buy this book and see what you've missed. It will not be regreted !

Summary: Funny!
Review: The title "Get Fuzzy" turned me off. I thought it was going to be another cute animal cartoon. It is not... I find "Get Fuzzy" to be the strip I buy the newspaper for.

World hunger? Serious crime? International complexities? Oh... yeah, I read about that too, but not until after I've smiled from "Get Fuzzy".

The cat, Bucky, is part Homer Simpson, part Machivelli (only in desire, not in success), and mostly cat. The dog, Satchel is also part Homer, with a bit of Homer's dumb coworkers mixed in, with a dash of sensible that keeps him from getting in too much trouble. Despite being an unorthodox pair, they are family... and Rob brings them together like a dad... a bit hands-off, but always right there, smugly happy he is human.

Bucky only wants to live a cat's life, and Satchel, only wants to live the life of a dog. Neither realizes what drives the other, and stays back when the other is about to do something silly doing to his species.

I fully recommend this book. I hope you don't think about the subtleties as much I just have... but just grab some pizza and thumb through these comics. Great way to spend a late Saturday morning.

Summary: Absolutely hilarious!
Review: I was so excited to see that the book had finally been published! When I first started reading "Get Fuzzy" I was immediately hooked by the wry humor and the ever-so-identifiable cat and dog behaviors cast in a slightly more human context. It is absolutely hilarious, regardless of whether or not you own a pet. However, as the owner of insanely neurotic cats, I immediately identified with Rob and what he has to go through dealing with Bucky!

This is the best comic to come along in years...like everyone else, I'm begging for more!!
