Summary: If You're Hungry For Garfield, This Is A Satisfying Treat
Review: I can never get enough of Garfield's sarcastic humor, so I love to sit down with a book like this and read six months of strips in one single sitting.

This, his 40th book, covers the strips from June-December of 2001 with a few outrageous outtakes in which you won't recognize Garfield before he took on his present form.

My favorites are always the ones with Nermal, but his neighbor Mrs. Feeny also gets her share of torture from the tubby tabby and his antics with Jon and Odie take center stage. When it comes to cats, fat is where it's at and nobody does fat better than Garfield in a smorgasboord of full-color strips to make you laugh the day away.

Summary: Shouldn't this cat be dead by now?
Review: I could never understand the success of Garfield. For thirty years this fat feline has recycled three or four jokes. He hates Mondays, he doesn't chase mice, he loves lasagna, and kicking a stupid dog off the counter.

If he isn't in bed, he's on the counter talking with his owner Jon who is rarley seen below the shoulders. He is a loser and Garfield must constantly remind him of that too.

Anyone who is a serious Garfield fan is as easily entertained as a three year old.

Summary: What Other Funny Comics?
Review: I just couldn't stop laughing. Garfield is hilarious in his 40th book. The fat furry feline has done it again. Garfield lovers should buy this one. His best book yet.

Summary: Two paws up!
Review: I really am Garfield's biggest fan. Ask me ANY question about him - I'll know the answer. I absolutely loved this book - Garfield has done it again! I don't understand how you can't love a fat cat! Is it his sarcasm? Is it his love for food? Maybe it's his , well , I don't know what it is! Just read the book =)

Summary: the best way to read Garfield..
Review: Is by reading about a year and a half of strips in these little books that they keep releasing . I buy like 10 of these every time that I know I'm about to go on a trip. I'm pretty sure that I own everyone of them. I love Garfield and I hope that he stays around forever. :)

Summary: Fat Cat's Rule
Review: More Garfield, this cat's been around as long as U2 have. For 25 years these books have been coming out and most of them are very good. Jim Davis' writing has lost it's humor. Not completly and you can't blame him. Some of these jokes I thingk I read in about 3 other books. The way Garfield talks is different. He says normal gags, not the knife-edge put downs I'm used to.

The creators of Garfield have spent some time reconstruting his website, and in June Garfield will star in a movie... with Lorzeno Music's voice I think. He played Garfield in the old TV series.

Summary: Praise from a comic strip fan
Review: My Garfield collection is not complete but it's up there. The fact that Jim Davis can come up with enough comic strip ideas to fill 40 books and keep them as funny as he has explains why he's been around for as long as he has. To fans of comic strips I say this book is truly worth a look. To fans of Garfield it's a must have.

Summary: Awsome Garfield Book!
Review: OK, 1st, let me tell you, that I am a big Garfield fan. Not for years, though. I do love him anyway. And, Survival of The Fattest is his latest book, and, it is very funny!! Let me tell you my top 5 favorite strips:

1. The one where a little ant, a bird, whos ready to eat the ant, and Garfield, who wants to despreatly eat the bird, eats him, and the Ant says "My hero!" And, then garfield stomps him.
2. One of the ones where Garfield doesnt want to eat, becauuse of his diet. Thats the one where Garfield says he doesnt think he can eat his 2nd lettuce leaf. Then, he grabs Jon by the neck, and says "Because I'm Planning To Pass Out From Hunger!!"
3. The one where Jon says "You know what I love about cats, Garfield? Youre so refined." Then, Garfield does a hairball hack, and says "Ahem, you were saying?" Heh.
4. One of the spider scenes when a spider has a walking cast, and, he says to Garfield "I'd ask you to sign it, but I hate your stinking guts, you fat tub of lard!" And, then, it looks like Garfield smacked him, and, the Spider was inside the cast. I have no idea though if it was garfield or spider... funny tho!
5. One where this lady walks, Jon and Garfield are siting on a bench on a boardwalk, and, the woman yawns and burps (hahaha) And, Garfield says "She seemed nice" Then, Jon does a puzzled look.

OH, one more thing. When Jon does those dorky, sad, mad, and not happy eyelashed looks, I call those looks "kiddees". I dont know why, I just think its very funny. Anyway, I love this book!
