Summary: BEST COMICS!!!!
Review: This is a comic that you can read over and over and over and over and over and over again. You get to know the characters, like Calvin's habit of using huge long words, Hobbes's habit of not eating fat kids, etc. What a pity Bill Watterson retired. I would love to read more of these!!

Summary: One of the great works of American Literature
Review: Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes is a true joy in every sense of the word. No other American artist in any medium has depicted childhood with such intelligence and sympathy, never descending into sentimental schmaltz. Calvin's sheer joy in simply being alive is never less than infectious. Thank God for Bill Watterson, and thank Bill Watterson for Calvin and Hobbes.

Summary: Bill Waterson tells about the background of his best comics.
Review: This was a fantastic book. I have all of of the books fro the "Calvin & Hobbes Collection" And I would have to say that this is one of the best of all of them. I really enjoy how ever comic has some kind of meaning behind it. I also like how most of the characters are based off a real person.

Summary: GREAT! The best!!!!!!!!
Review: This is the best Cal and Hobbes I've ever read. The comics are funny and fun as well. Calvin and Hobbes aren't always fighting like they do in YUKON HO!. That one is good, too. Calvin And Hobbes is a great collection.

Summary: great book
Review: this calvin and hobbes book is the best one bill has made. It's to bad he did quit writing but i am sick of hearing people complaining if he would have kept writing they would have got boring and repetative like garfield and peanuts which have both been running way to long and should have stopped a long time ago.

Summary: One of the best!!!
Review: Calvin & Hobbes, the very first comic, is full of creative humor. The book includes the very first comic, and the introduction of Susie Derkins.

Summary: It is a bit harsh
Review: Incredibly entertaining and worthwhile read, but I'd have to agree with one other person on this board: Watterson comes off a bit harsh. And much of the first section devoted to a licensing fight? Give us a break, Bill. You've been around for 10 years, gave us all something to look forward to in the morning paper, and you end your career moaning?

Still, a great collection. Get it for that reason above all else.

Summary: This is my favorite of the Calvin and Hobbes books because:
Review: The comics are really funny and I like how he tells you about what he was thinking when he was writing the comics.
