Rating: Summary: one of the best manga ive read Review: i am a big fan of Yu Watase but i have to say that this is one of her better manga. in fact it is probably one of my favorites (that and sailormoon and ayashi no ceres). it is about a 14 year old girl who is a little bit ditzy and has the everday problems that most teens have. she acidentaly ecscapes to a parallel universe through a magical book and finds adventure, friendship, and romance. it is truely a story for anybody to read (even if you dont like the gushy love part in stories but like action better, or the other way around). this book is truely magical! :)
Rating: Summary: Great! Review: One of my friends had recommended this book for me so I decided to try it. And it certainly was really great! It had a little of everything, which is what I like. Romance, humor, action, fantasy. The graphics are so CUTE! Miaka is so pretty and adorable. The plot-Miaka is sort of like Serena from Sailor Moon- she loves to eat, and hates to study. But she wants to impress her mom, so she does her best to study for her high school entrance exams, to get into a good high school. While studying, she finds this book in the library, and gets sucked into another world that is a lot like ancient China. There, she has lots of adventures and is thought to be the legendary priestess of Suzaku. I know my explanation is probably not that great, but you have to read it! It's really really good. I only wish they'd show the TV series on TV. Heehee... Also recommended: Sailor Moon, although it does get a bit corny sometimes, Ranma 1/2
Rating: Summary: Romance, Action, Adventure ... and much more Review: For anyone who likes twists and turns in a story, along with great characters and romance, this is the story for you. All of the characters are well developed and this story draws you in, much like Miaka ;). What did I mean by that? Find out for yourself by buying this!

Rating: Summary: Miaka and Tamahome ROCK! ^_^ Review: This story rocks! It's about Miaka who's the average schoolgirl who, like all students her age, is studying for the gruesome High School entrance exam! (Yippeee) Anyway, at the library she stumbles upon a book, known as "The Universe of the Four Gods" and her and her best friend Yui get sent there (Ancient China in a book)...where she meets Tamahome, the cute guy of the story (heehee). Anyway, they get sent back to reality a little while later, and Miaka then somehow ends up at the library being sucked into the book. She then meets Tamahome again, and the emporer Hotohori. Now she must become the Priestess of Suzaku, and save them from Seiryu, the other country next to them. So she sets out on her journey to find the other celestial warriors of Suzaku (7 in all, including Tamahome and Hotohori), so they can call Suzaku and save Hotohori's country. Heehee, Miaka is sooooo cute! She's so funny! Tamahome is an awesome character too, but most of all I like TASUKI and CHICHIRI! THEY ROCK!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful art Review: Wow! I'm amazed at how well this graphic novel was drawn! Usually when manga gets "americanized" the quality of the ink and clarity of the drawings goes down but not in this case. This novel is wonderful for anyone looking for a light laugh, or the beginning of a serious story.
Rating: Summary: IN ADDTION... ^o^ Review: Oh, yeah, if you really like these conflicts in Fushigi Yuugi, maybe you'd also like to read X and something like "the Holly Biography" by CLAMP. These two have even more complex stories than Fushigi Yuugi, and they deal with both individuals and social problems...
Rating: Summary: MY FAVORITE COMIC BOOK... (but is this the comic version? ) Review: I have read this comic book series since 5 years ago... It was my cousin who took me to the bookstore... I still remember she said to me, "You'll love this book once you start to read it," and it's true. The following 3 years, I waited from book 13 to book 18 (the last book) every Jan. and Nov. I love the story and the characters in Fushigi Yuugi. It just amazed me... I even started to learn the style of drawing she draws. This second part of Fushigi Yuugi is harder to understand...for children, I mean. And the author said that herself in the book... I especially liked the part when she said, "I tried to set up the story myself, but at the end, the characters told me which way the story should go... They have became alive." I really enjoy this series, but back to the question, is this the comic version? If so, then maybe I'll buy it, cause I don't have book 1 to book 13... (ps. In book 13,the male protagonist--see, I don't even know his English name--is very handsome when he goes to Japan and wears the protagonist's brother's coat...)
Rating: Summary: What can I say? AWESOME! Review: I loved this book! And for what reasons? Well, I loved the characters... either you hate them or love them.. but they're so wonderfully detailed and complex that I loved them all! And soon as you read the first two pages you're immediately hooked... You can indentify with Miaka, and so you're transported along with her in her journeys. Her situations you can indentify with... and so you feel a connection not only to her but to the entire story as well. You find yourself falling in love with the characters. When you put the book down after finishing...well, in my experience... you yell out, "I WANT MORE! " (that's why there is the Oracle handy...) Believe me.. Fushigi Yuugi is worth every single penny that you paid for it
Rating: Summary: Yet another breath-taking Fushigi Yugi manga!
