Summary: Ummm not soo great
Review: All I can say is that the anime is wonderful. It's one of the est I've ever seen but the Graphic novel wasn't great. I don't know why the anime seems better but it does. THe book does have it's moments though. It's just not something I'd read more than once. I recommend you borrow this from somewhere or just watch the anime and not waste your money.

Summary: more Watase, Hold the miaka, please
Review: What couldnt be more endearing about a love story about a person who doesnt exist and a ditzy school girl? I see nothing wrong with the picture, Personally I think that all the charactors in the Manga are quite well thought out.

Except...
Miaka.
Miaka has absolutly no good qualities about her, I cheered because she wasnt the basic manga stereotype of a 'hot chick with nice breasts' unfortunitly she doesnt have any other really redeeming charactoristics either. I see absolutly nothing wrong with her, other than the fact that she's annoying as all bloody get out. Watase's story itself is quite well thought, while the charactors remain either halfwitted or slightly unrealistic (but hey, isnt that what manga is all about?) the story itself is endearing and Noriko is helarious.

If you like watase definatly check out Ayasha No Celes, a more mature and developed comic, That shows how the writer has learned since composing FY.

Summary: Now THIS IS MANGA!
Review: Oh my god! Now this is wonderful! Beautiful art, creative characters, rich plot..Wonderful! Watase has outdone hereself! From drama, to romance, and the HILAIOUS humor, both slap stick and with charming wit. Antoher great thing is the little faces in the borders, those can be great. Also the bonds between he charas are fascinating, and I really enjoyed studying them. It's highly realistic, without being deprssing. ANY mnga lover should have this on their shelf. BUY IT NOW!

Summary: Volume 5 Continues in Style
Review: For those who are wondering whether or not to try out Fushigi Yuugi, I'll put in my two cents. The series is excellent, and volume five is one of the best yet. Compared to other graphic novels, Fushigi Yuugi as a series is funny, sad, and extremely addictive. In this volume, Miaka continues her journey to find all of her Celestial Warriors but runs into tragedy. You'll definitely need to read volumes 1-4 before reading volume five...so go to it! This story is too good to pass up! I already can't wait until volume 6 comes out...

Summary: Another solid, best-selling volume
Review: In the 5th volume of Fushigi Yugi manga, Miaka finds the last celestail warriors, and they go to retrieve Tamahome. Once they arrive for him, things go drastically downhill. This volume was really great. It broke my heart at the end, and I even broke down crying (I don't do that very often)! Plus my favorite character came in, ahem....uh, Chiriko. I guess.....^_^ Anyways, this is definitely a volume you'll want to secure with your collection of Fushigi Yugi. I highly reccomend it to any FY, anime, or manga fans.

Summary: FY Never Fails to Please
Review: FY 4... the beginning part of this story is a bit confusing, but the end makes up for everything. The story of Nioh-an and Shao-huan sent shivers up my spine, and their dialogue was SO SAD!!! By the way, if you're a Tasuki fan you should like this one. Also, this volume contains ALL of Mitsukake's story in the ENTIRE series. That and the fact that two new celestial warriors are found make this volume an indispensable one in the FY story. Read it! You'll enjoy it. ^_^

Summary: An amazing manga that everyone should read!
Review: Fushigi Yugi Vol.1: Priestess is the first book in an incredible series that has been praised by fans and critics alike! This manga has everything from love, romance, action, and adventure to mystery, and suspense. Everyone and anyone will enjoy this amazing story. The first book starts out with Miaka, a young japanese girl who is busy studying for her high school entrance exams, when her and her friend Yui stumble upon a book in the library called the "Universe of the Four Gods". The book then takes them to another world, where Miaka is recognized as the Preistess of Suzaku, the one prophesized to save the empire from destruction! And this is just the beginning. I suggest that anyone who loves to read a good and well written story to buy this! It's amazing!

Summary: Mysterious Play, Mysterious Adventure!
Review: I LOVE this book! Yu Watase is amazing! But I'm sure you won't just take my word for it and buy this manga, so why don't I explain?

The story begins with two friends, Miaka Yuki and Yui Hongo, trying to pass high school entrance exams. Miaka's objective (other than eating every food in sight) is to be accepted into Jonan High School, like her mother would want her to. But the task isn't as simple as passing the test. Unlike her intellgient friend, Yui, Miaka needs to work at it. When the girls go to the National Library, they discover a strange book in a special reference room. (Miaka: "What's a suzaku?") When they open it and begin to read, they are pulled into the story! Inside the book, they are attacked by slave traders and rescued by a mysterious guy. But before they can ask him where they are, they are taken back to the library!

Being back in their own world, they decide that the entire situation was all just a dream. However, upon arrival home, Miaka can't stop thinking about her rescuer, so she decides to go back to the library ...

If you want to know the rest of the engaging plot, buy the book! The art is exquisite, the plot's complex, there's humor just when you need it, and also, there are little columns in every chapter by Yu Watase! Oh, and let's not forget the strange parodies once in awhile ... Hee-hee! Romance, comedy, mystery, and adventure all in one manga! Get this and you won't be disappointed!

Summary: Best So Far
Review: Volume 5 was action packed, interesting, moved the plot along well, and was very enjoyable to read. Has been the best in the series so far. Worth every pretty penny.
