Summary: A must have for all Jhonen Vasquez fans
Review: Anyone who has read JTHM must get this book. It's all of the individual Squee comics put in one big giant book of unspeakable horrors.
Nobody loves poor little Squee with the exeption of his stuffed bear, Shmee, who keeps Squee as sane as he gets, but influences him to do bad things. Squee is a smart little boy though, and won't do anything bad, because he doesn't want to be like the scary neighbor man(Johnny).
This book basicaly just intails some of Squee's unfortunate mishappenings including Aliens, bullies, Senior Satan and the Anti Christ, a dog that looks like a sheep or something, and some things that aren't that scary at all. There's alot of pain bieng inflicted amongst children that might not deserve it, but you are suppose to laugh at it. It's funny, really.
All in all, I encourage you purchase this fun filled book!

Summary: Very good book.
Review: Very funny material, introspective. I read Squee first not expecting too much and liked it a lot, then later picked up a Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and felt like I wasted my time with it. So liking this doesn't mean you'll enjoy Johnny or the other works.

Summary: Nothing special
Review: I'm working on a comic book so i wanted to see the examples. Unlike Jhonen's first book this one wasn't that thoughtful. JTHM was more of sad brooding interpretation to Sci-fi theory of universe creation. (Until reading jthm i thought comic books are supposed to be just funny =) squee is much better drawn but has absolutely no storyline (let alone scientific theories). The main reason for you to buy this one is to get the meanwhiles that didn't appear in JTHM: DC.

Summary: I LOVE SQUEE!!! but...
Review: .... not Wobbly Head Bob. I can't say enough good things about squee, meanwhile, true tales of human drama and, for some reason that completely escapes me, I even adore happy noodle boy. Wobbly Head Bob on the other hand litterally gave me migranes. Painfully depressing. PAINFULLY. Like a hundred million termites sing showtunes in you brian painfully.

Otherwise, it's a wonderful book and most definately worth that week and a half I didn't eat lunch to save up my money and buy it. But do yourself a favor and skip the section with Wobbly Head Bob. You'll thank me later.

Summary: not as good as johnny
Review: while a very enjoyable book I would definitly rather read JTHM again. But still a great book when you put into perspective what people find interest in these days.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good book, but its no Johnny
Review: Alright, this book in all honesty was pretty good. Its funny and quite entertaining, I read the entire book the minute I got it. The only thing I can say as for why I only gave it 4 stars is I expected it to be more in the style of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. If you haven't read either of these books I would give higher recommendation to JTHM.

Summary: Much better than Johnny the Homicidal Maniac
Review: For those of you who found JtHM annoying and pretentious, give Squee a try. Gone are the whiny rants and social commentary. All that remains are over the top storylines and hillarity.

Squee is an unfortunate child who encounters horror after horror in his young life. It definitely has that "I can't believe that just happened" quality to it.

The "Meanwhile" strips are also very good, retaining a similar feel, despite not featuring Squee.

Summary: Twisted and cute
Review: For all of you who know Jhonen Vasquez only for his work on InvaderZIM!, pick this up too. It's the same twisted, horribly funny oddities, only in black and white. Massive fun, complete with meanwhiles. Pick up Johnny the Homicidal Maniac too. (and the Bad Art Collection)

Summary: Boo!
Review: I personally think that, though Squee is /not/ better the JTHM, it does live up to the renouned author's name. Just good, dark, gothy fun! Squee is too adorable and creepy to give up, this is a must-read! ... Anyway, this is Awesome! For fans of Invador Zim (zim was in the background of a few pictures even) And Nny ... Buy this book!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Better than Johnny!
Review: Ok, so you do have to have a very dark sense of humour to appreciate this book. But you probably do, if you're looking at this review in the first place.

Also, you probably came to Squee after reading Johnny the Homicide Maniac, where Squee was just a very minor character. And well... guess the great news! This is four times better than Johnny!

Gone are the neurotic border decorations, the overly self-indulging monologues, the teen angst and the suspiciously well-rendered psychotic scenarios. This is just extra-dark fun, with riotous scenarios (hey, who's so unlucky to be abducted not by one, but two alien killers in the same night? The same day he learned that his desk-pal at schook is the son of Satan?) and clearer art.

The only negative comment: yes, that damn stick-noodle boy or whatever it's called is still in somewhere. Oh well.
