Summary: A "Must Read for Teenagers!"
Review: Though it is Anderson's first novel, Speak is gloriously written. It brings the reader through the pains of high school, the thoughts of a horrified teen who has been through more than anyone should have to for her years, the consequences of containing the numbing experience of the previous summer in her mind, and her transformation once it is revealed. It is the amazing reality of high school for so many that will keep this book in the mind of the reader for a very long time. This is a truly powerful book that no teen should go without reading. It carries the struggle of one teen trying to fit into the hidden society of high school life along with this important message: "Always remember to be who you are and never be afraid to speak up for yourself."

Summary: Hi Ms.Corey :)
Review: I didn't really like this book. It is all about American teenager problems. I liked the way how she tells us the story. There is nothing to not believe in this story. The story is about the high school problems and they are exactly what happens in the schools.
I can say that Speak is a good book for an American teenager to read. Also adults should read this book because they can see the kinds of problems their kids face today.
And I like the symbolism about the tree.

Summary: Amazing and Truthful to the Teenage Soul
Review: This is frankly an amazing book. At some points, her experiences drove me to tears, and at other times her frankness and reluctancy to re-enter the social hive made me laugh out loud and pity her losses. Melinda is an outcast in her highschool because of one night in her life: when she called the cops on her friends and peers at a giant party. No one knew exactly why she called the police, but they didn't care because hate had already consumed them. The real reason why police were at the party was the selfishness and conceitedness (not to mention raging hormones)of the school-jerk/hottie and the unnecessary pain Melinda was having to endure and bottle up. It makes you wonder about how your own friends would turn on you by one phone call. It's amazing to see the other side of the people you consider your best friends, and Laurie Anderson really proves this in her writing.

Summary: this is my review!!!!woo whoo:)hope i get an A!!
Review: This is an excellent book. Speak is about a young girl and how she overcomes all of her fears and anxieties. She's a freshmen at her local high school .She has no friends at her school .No one likes her because she called the cop's on a party she went too. She cant tell anyone why. My favorite part of the book was the way it was written. It was written around one thing what happened at the party. It was written so that it all leads up to when she tells everyone what happened at the party .The book kept you reading it because you wanted to know what happened at the party. This is a really good book. I think everyone will enjoy it. People of all ages can enjoy this book.

Summary: Why 4 stars???
Review: 4 stars because the book was great and had a great moral lesson and You may want to put the book down at the begining and never read it because it is boring, but before you do, please read this! Almost all books are boring at the beging, right? but why are they boring? because the author has to describe the life and problems of the main charecter. So please read this book it's great and teaches you a lesson, a good lesson.
