Summary: A disappointment - but my kids loved it!
Review: To someone who owns 4 Sempe books in French (Rien n'est simple, Tout se complique, Sauve qui peut, La grande panique), this new volume seems rather dull. Missing is the sharp wit and biting humor characterizing earlier books. Something is definitely lost in the translation. However, my teen-age kids found the book hilarious, and laughed out loud at things that I found bland. So perhaps I've become a fuddy-duddy. I don't think this new book aspires to be as humerous as its predecessors, and I think that's why I'm disappointed.
