Review: This series of devotionals is best for families with older children. It relies heavily on reading aloud contributions from authors Charles Colson, Billy Graham, Max Lucado, and Joni Eareckson Tada. It has hymn lyrics, poems, prayers, Word studies, Scripture passages, discussion questions, and family activities.
My favorite activites from the book are:
- Make a Psalm Palm by having each person write a short things praising God for who He is what he has done on narrow strips of green paper, then glue them on a big piece of paper in the shape of a palm branch.
- Family sunrise service: choose a place where you can watch the sun rise as you read and pray together as a family, followed by a special breakfast.
