Summary: Patriotic or ponderous? You be the judge.
Review: Don't get me wrong, there's absolutely nothing wrong with people seeking spiritual enlightenment during times of trouble, especially in light of the tragedies in NYC, DC and PA... but this is possibly the most crass example of commercialism I've ever seen. I saw this on an endcap at Books-A-Million not too long ago, right next to the "Left Behind" series, and it made me want to throw up. "Extreme Word"? What, are you supposed to read this while snowboarding, drinking Mountain Dew and listening to Linkin Park? Gimme a break. I'd be a little wary of using the word "extreme" in association with anything religious these days. Don't waste your money - chances are there's probably an equivalent text sitting somewhere in your house, collecting dust. If you need to feel closer to God, then for His sake dig it out and READ IT! It'll do the job just fine, and I'm sure that God will understand if you choose to stick with your good old, reliable Bible instead of trying to beat your friends and neighbors to the pious punch. Reading out of an Old Glory-emblazoned Bible will NOT make the Islamic fundamentalists angrier at the United States than they already are......

Summary: Excellent Bible, especially for new believers
Review: This bible provides study tools and background information in bite-sized portions that can help new (and not so new) believers to glean insights on what the Word means in their life. The September 11 incident brought about much discussion and questions about God. Some new believers or potential believers may be drawn to a Bible that is current with the one of the most significant incidents of our times. Through that spark of interest some readers may develop a thirst for more of God's Word. What a blessing to us all that would be.

Summary: THE BEST BOOK AND BEST COUNTRY ON EARTH IN ONE!!!!!
Review: This is a great Bible for anyone!!! It's filled with all of the good stuff from the regular Extreme Word but also has alot of prayers specifically for our country and it also has a few songs. The cover is awesome, reminding us to keep our country and fellowmen in prayer not just in a time of crisis but everyday; and to be thankful for this wonderful country which God has blessed us with. Don't be afraid to buy it because of that guy's response from Asheville, NC. I AM NOT ASHAMED!!! Neither should he be and neither should you be. GOD BLESS...
