Review: Jill Dubisch is a wonderful, entertaining, honest, and insightful writer. This is a very descriptive book, but it also takes on the issue of anthropological writing and perspective. Jill Dubisch tries to make it clear where she is coming from, and why she is seeing and interpreting things the way she is. This book takes you right into a part of Greece, visually and emotionally, while remaining "scientifically anthropological". I love it!
