Summary: reminds me of Max Lucado
Review: I like the down-home style of the stories. I can really feel like I am there, watching or listening to Jesus or the other guys He worked with. I have 14 favorite stories in this book, and everyone I show them too agrees. We plan to use the book in our Sunday School class next quarter.

Summary: Presents a biblically based picture of Jesus Christ
Review: Imagine Meeting Him takes events which occurred during the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ and personalizes the interaction between Jesus and the person being ministered to. For example, a short description of Zacheus is given prior to his encounter with Jesus. The reader almost becomes the character of Zacheus. It is as if the reader is reacting to the event rather than just reading about it. In the many people interactions that are presented in the four gospels this pattern is repeated over and over. By the time the reader gets to the end he/she has a better idea of their own relationship with Jesus. Imagine Meeting Him expands the bible stories to help readers put themselves in the places of the biblical characters dipicted. Readers can judge for themselves how they would have reacted or how they feel about certain aspects of Christ's claims as presented in the gospels. It is a book that does not have to be read in a single sitting. In fact, one could use it as daily devotional or just as reading which is enjoyable and possibly thought provoking. I have gone through the book several times and find fresh insights each time. I highly recommend this book as suitable for teens and adults. It does not foster any particular Christian denomination. It's focus is on Jesus and how his ministry affected the people who came into contact with him. It is a book one might consider giving as a gift to a friend or a family member.
