Review: A Voice in the Wilderness offers comfort to its readers just as Isaiah 40 comforted God's distressed people so long ago. Dr. Dyer provides a precise and very practical explanation of a great chapter in the Bible. As an experienced guide in Israel, he sheds light on Isaiah's imagery of the Judean wilderness in such a way that one can visualize the rugged terrain--and so better receive the message of comfort. I enjoyed the contemporary stories from real people who have lived the truth of Isaiah's words. Very readable, very practical and inspirational.
