Rating: Summary: Help Review: i need help. i want to know more about the electronic bible. how does it work? and where can i order it at? please help.
Rating: Summary: Any other version? Review: It will be excellent if the product is available in other versions e.g NIV. Does anyone know if this product or a similar product is available in the NIV?
Rating: Summary: Very handy for specific purposes Review: The next review gives good descriptive info. I just wanted to add that I find the Franklin electronic Bible convenient for two specific purposes. One is for doing Bible crossword puzzles (it saves a lot of page-rustling) and the other is for carrying in my shirt/jacket pocket (if I have large enough pockets) when I am sitting in a boat or walking in the woods, meditating. One drawback is that this model is not backlit so you do need some reasonable light.

Rating: Summary: Handy, compact, & powerful Review: This Franklin is very convenient, fits easily in a shirt/coat pocket or purse, and is protected by a flip-top cover. It will search for any word or words in the popular King James Bible, and allow you to go, via the menu, to any specific book where the word is found, without looking at every book. It allows for type size changes, to allow for larger print if needed. It also has a bookmark list for you to save your favorite passages. It uses "button" type batteries that last a long time. The one drawback I have noticed is that it is slower in word searches than a "big brother" that cost about $20 more that operates in essentially identical operation techniques. The larger model is not quite as small, but is still compact, without the flip-up protective cover. It uses 4 "AAA" batteries, whose power may provide the difference in speed. NOTE: While Bible students may find this unit quite handy, remember that wording in more modern texts of the Bible may be sufficiently different to cause some difficulty in looking up specific verses if the corresponding KJV word(s) is not used. Still, this is a nice unit.
