Rating: Summary: Good only for Generalizations Review: While this book is somewhat an "all inclusive book" on the Old Testament, the commentary lacks detail. This is not to say I regret having purchased this book, however, it is not so much a guide through the O.T. as one might be looking for. It is not an extensive viewing of the O.T. but rather a glimpse at each part of the O.T. Therefore, I suggest this for those that wish a light reading of what the O.T. comprises. Yet, for the reader that is looking for depth I would go elsewhere. Simply put, this book seems to have been written just to let you know the story lines within the O.T. and to give limited commentary as to what is conveyed. This would be a good book for young teens and those who are beginning to study God's word. The epilogue is a well written essay tying Christ to the Old Testament.
