Review: It is unfortunate that this book is now out of print. I bought it several years ago and it was a wonderful learning experience to read it. It does not simply show how Islam is "wrong", but it is written froma Christian perspective, so it does effectively compare and contrast these two major faiths.

Beginning with some simple facts about Islam's beliefs and practices, it moves into various ways that an Christian can effectively dialogue and witness to Muslims. There is an emphasis placed on understanding where they come from and how to reach them on their turf.

There are so few well balanced books on Islam and we needws more books like these!

Review: This book is an excellent first book for those not familiar with Islam and those who practice it. Origins of Islam and a rather complete discussion of this religion then and now are valuable parts of this work by two editors who obviously have an extensive background to back up their work.
I liked the coverage of Islamic law and the description of the worship rituals and prayers. This is a must for the library of anyone who works with, deals with or lives near Muslims in this country. I showed it to some of my friends who practice Islam and they were delighted to know such a book exists.
