Summary: Too much hype and too little substance!
Review: I read this book in one night and I am sorry that I wasted that much of my time on it. Dobson starts off with a convincing argument but lost it somewhere in the second or third chapter. At the beginning of each chapter his opening paragraph would contain some little story of his that really had absolutely nothing to do with what he was saying. Another thing that really bugged me about this book was that Dobson would constantly bring in historical facts that had no real relevancy to trying to prove that Jesus might return before the year 2000. It was like he couldn't find enough REAL evidence to prove what he was saying so in order to make it look convincing he had to put a lot of other irrelevant facts in to make it look good. Lastly, the only reason it got 2 stars instead of 1 is that his main argument sounded reasonable enough (read Matthew 24:34, and then say to yourself, Isreal became united in 1949. So it could be during the next 50 years after 1949- which brings you to the year 1999...so it could work that way.) However, that is only 1 interpretation. Buy at your own risk.

Summary: OOPS! DOH!
Review: I suppose he did say "could return" not will for definate. Still a bit of a clanger though. A lot of writing to make an invalid point.

Summary: Outdated But Shows That the Bible is Unreliable
Review: The year is now 2001 and this book is no longer worth buying. But it shows in a way the Bible is a unreliable, inaccurate document that contains "threats" to win converts.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Not interesting
Review: Time reading this book is time wasted. I found this book incredibly uniinteresting. It does not give any good opinions or reasons for the return of Jesus.
