Rating: Summary: Great Overview Review: While I do not know Martin Palmer, I am always amazed at how he seems to write books that both catch my eye and meet my expectations. 'The Sacred History of Britain' is a great overview of the spiritual history of Britain. It is easy to read and pleasant to look at. The only weak point is that Mr. Palmer does not go into any length regarding the more controversial ideas of an early British Church founded by Joseph of Arimathea. I found this a bit odd given his other recent book, 'The Jesus Sutras' which covers the early Chinese Christian church. That aside, I would highly recommend this book to anyone, whether beginner or expert as either an introduction or an overview of Britain's spirituality.
