Review: Jill Briscoe did a wonderful job with the commentary. Many topics women face today are addressed with scriptural answers. Some are single parenthood, relating to your husband, your personal relationship with God, and raising Christian children.

The translation used is the New Living Translation, which is the one I prefer to read, and study in my daily devotions. Combined with the commentary, this makes the Bible accessable to today's woman.

Review: Jill Briscoe did a wonderful job with the topical reading tracks. She starts with the basics and builds concept upon concept, using both Old and New Testament scriptures to illustrate God's love and plan for all people. As I read through the Scriptures and Jill's devotional thoughts, I am amazed all over again with the consistent theme of redemption from Genesis to Revelation. If you've never spent much time studying the Bible, this is an excellent way to get started.
