Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The inspired poetry of Helen Schucman Review: Helen Schucman was the "scribe" of A COURSE IN MIRACLES, a three volume set of books about spiritual psychotherapy. These poems were not scribed in the same way as A COURSE IN MIRACLES; but they do dovetail with the spiritual principles of the Course. Some poems were written for specific people, among them: Kenneth Wapnick, President of "Foundation for A Course In Miracles"; Gerald Jampolsky, author of LOVE IS LETTING GO OF FEAR; William Thetford, co-scribe of A COURSE IN MIRACLES. Others are simply poems about the abstract nature of the Course, and the Course's reinterpretation of Christian themes. For information on which poems pertain to which people, see ABSENCE FROM FELICITY, Dr. Wapnick's biography of Helen Schucman. The student of the Course will be interested to know that THE GIFTS OF GOD ends with 14 pages of material that *was* received from the same process of inner dictation that brought the Course. That section is divided into five sections: "The Dream of Fear," "The Two Gifts," "The Ending of the Dream," "Our Gifts to God," and "The Father's Love." Since I am a student of the Course, I am biased: I think THE GIFTS OF GOD is beautiful and would recommend it to any student of the Course or lover of poetry.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Poetry inspired by Jesus Review: This volume contains the inspired poetry of Dr Helen Schucman, scribe of A Course in Miracles. It contains 114 poems, written over a ten-year period, that share the spiritual content (and in many ways the style) of the Course. These beautiful poems are not only inspired; they are extremely inspirational and will be particularly appreciated by students of the Course. Unlike the editorial review above states, Dr Schucman did not receive these poems directly from Jesus (as she received the Course); she stated that while she was the 'scribe' of the Course, she was the 'inspired author' of these poems.
