Summary: It's A Heart-Style not only a Life-Style
Review: This is a powerful Christ-Centered book which every Christian should read. I was in the bookstore looking for a book on obedience and noticed this book in a very inconspicuous place on the shelf. This book didn't have all the usual fanfare associated with trendy Christian advertising to announce it's presence but I saw it. At first the title intrigued me because I have seen many titles about Loving God or Jesus but never one about why it's hard to love Him. As I sat and read the first few paragraphs my eyes welled up with tears over the words (my paraphrase) "we always ask do we love Jesus but the real question we should ask is does Jesus feel loved by us."

Dr. Stowell then goes on to illustrate how it is so hard to love Christ if we are not part of the forgiven much. His main passage in the book is about the sinful woman who washes the feet of Jesus with her tears, while in the Pharisees house. The amazing contrasts Dr. Stowell makes in this book are sure to bring conviction to your heart as it did to mine when I discovered the Pharisee in my own heart and the need to become part of the forgiven much.

A definite must read if you are serious about what it means to love Jesus from a heart-style and not a lifestyle.

Dr. Stowell you have blessed my life as always thank you.
