Summary: Blown away! Acts 2:2
Review: If you are looking for a book to fan the flames of your church, study group, Sunday school class, or just for personal devotion, this is it! It is by far the best I have read in many years. It has challenged me to examine my motives and see where my walk really is and where it needs to go.

It also has done the same for my church. This year we almost tripled our giving to foreign missions and for the first time budgeted for over seas short-term mission trips in addition to giving scholarships for them. We also started a outreach program and are contacting almost 200 people a month. This is something we have never done and we are only half way through the book.

It has changed the way I do Christianity, the way we do church and it will do the same for you. Incredible! Acts 1:8

In Christ's Love.

Pastor Shawn Dobbs.

Summary: Not just another how to book,... but an experience!
Review: Empowering Kingdom Growth is a "must read book" for all pastors, church leaders and members. God has been doing some wonderful things in our church during the past two years since my arrival as pastor. Our small church has seen our Sunday School double in attendance, mission's giving triple, setting and meeting the largest budget ever, and the breaking ground of a new 12,000 sq. ft FLCC "Families Living for Christ Center." We no longer believe in asking members to be committed to the church, EKG has helped us make the shift to becoming a church that is committed to the people. The leader's guide containing a workbook, a CD and a DVD is perfect for pastors and church leaders to spend 40 days in saturating believers with the truth of God's activity occuring all around them. We have seen it in the children within our community. We had 3 children in attendance 2 years ago, we now have over 40 resulting in most of their families have been assimulated into the church. EKG is not just another book to read, but an experience to enjoy!

Summary: The Premier Book on God's Kingdom Agenda
Review: Hemphill has captured the biblical and practical essence of the subject of God's Kingdom. In his usual readable style, the author outlines the key concepts and makes profound, personal application of these truths. This book has the potential to transform the thinking of church leaders and serious students of the Bible.

Summary: EKG Will Spark Revival
Review: My own spirit has been revived as I have read Ken Hemphill's book, EKG: The Heartbeat of God. It is obvious that Dr. Hemphill has experienced this in his own life and is eager to share it with others. It will make you a better Christian, a better church member and a better servant of God. I encorage you to let God speak to you through this great presentation of what it means to be in the Kingdom of God.

Summary: Gets to the heart of being Kingdom-focused
Review: The "Heartbeat of God" is an enriching source for understanding the values that need to be developed in order to live for Christ. Hemphill offers solid scriptural teaching and avoids the post-modernist self-help "advice" that shortchanges spiritual growth and development. This book is a natural follow up to "Purpose Driven Life." It's easy to read but has depth.

Summary: A most in-depth theological analysis.
Review: The Lord Jesus instructed His followers in Matthew 6:32-33 to "Seek first His Kingdom." In understanding Jesus' statement for the times in which we are living, Dr. Ken Hemphill has written perhaps the most in-depth theological analysis by any contemporary author on the Kingdom of God on this earth. Church and denominational leaders all across America need to read and ponder EKG: The Heartbeat of God. If Christians can ever come to terms with the call of Jesus to be Kingdom citizens, spiritual revival will break out in historic proportions.

Summary: Ok...
Review: This book was ok. I think I was expecting more challenging suggestions on how to head toward a more kingdom oriented
way of living. There were a few gems within the book, but, overall, not exactly what I expected.
