He writes with analytical clarity, humor, and creative insight as he seeks to empathetically bring insight to the issues of everyday life. His intent is to take a concept relating to God, find alternate, if not polarized fractional views on the subject, be they from the comic, artistic, scientific or other domains, and have them engage in a conversation. He guides the reader to listen carefully, to construct meaningful generalizations, to cast away weak images, and to find new uses of linguistic understandings so that he/she is able to find commonalities of thought in terms of powerful inclusive tenets. The three main sections of the book enables the reader to engage in conversations about theolgy using the voice of humor, by looking at literary and artistic images of human experience with God, and finally by searching for the meaning of God's salvation for daily life. The book is a clear snapshot of the possibilities for conversations about God. It opens the door for the reader, offering a style and a way for personal conversations on other relevent theological issues. The book provides a channel for affirmation of faith within the perplexing, and often clashing realities of ordinary life.
