Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best in Class
Review: Hans Urs von Balthasar has writtrn an extremely useful book. It is structured as follows: For each Sunday of the year, for each cycle (A,B,C), von Balthasar provides a brief reflection. (By brief I mean a page or two.) Too brief? It depends on what you want. If you want a quick an insightful unpacking of the kernel of the readings, you will not be disappointed. The author's erudition does not get into the way of his lucidity. Heck, even I can understand what he's saying. This book would be useful for someone who wants to reflect on the Sunday Mass readings, or even as a catalyst for the homily manufacturing process. My copy -- only a few years old -- is already dilapitated.
