Terrorism. Floods. Shootings.I felt the need for some uplifting reading and I found it in God Allows UTurns, a woman's journey. These are stories by real people who have faced problems in their lives and overcome. They are stories of hope and heart and inspiration. Each story is unique and can be read in order or any way you want. I like to read according to the title of the story. If it seems to say something to me I read it. Eventually I did finish the entire book because every story was special in its own way. I can read a story in a few minutes or take the book with me when traveling. I can keep it on my desk at work and read during my break. For train or bus rides, this book is the best. It is light enough to enjoy despite the noise and people talking, and deep enough to bring tears to my eyes. Delightful comes to mind but more than that. This is a book I will keep to reread. This is a book I will buy multiple copies of to give as gifts to my friends. I admit I enjoy these types of collections and have Chocolate for a Woman's Soul, Chicken Soup Books, and Guideposts books in my collections. I am a voracious reader and have stacks of nonfiction and fiction as well. When I want to relax, when I want to feel peaceful, I turn to God Allows UTurns. There are three volumes now. I look forward to the next ones as well. We all need a resting place like this, an oasis of peace within the storm of everyday life. Thanks for reading my review. Bea S.

These stories reflect triumph in the lives of the writers and transmit hope to the readers. The reader won't find judgment or preaching here, just women with the insight to experience God's wonder. You can't read this book without increasing your ability to accept new gifts from God. I'll be giving this book to women in our family as they graduate, marry and celebrate other important events in their lives.
