Review: This review is for the book, "Leadership that builds people, Volume 2." I cannot tell by the information provided by Amazon whether this will be posted under Volume 1 or 2 by the same title.

This book is not for building leaders in business, but for building leadership teams within a church. I would not find this information useful otherwise. I had vision of coffee clatches and pot luck dinners to build leaders based on his ideas.

I felt mislead by the title, and was disappointed that even from a Christian perspective, I felt the book was VERY JUDGEMENTAL.

In chapter 9, under "Qualifications for serving" there is a section called "not given to much wine." The author starts by saying "I wish this had been left out of the Bible." It gets worse.

The book is about the author's opinions and interpretations of the Bible. I suppose if your views were identical to his, AND you were trying to build a service orientation in your Church, this book would give an outline from which to start. Otherwise, I did not find it to be thought provoking or helpful in the Real World.
