Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Recommended Bible Overview
Review: This book concisely summarizes Genssis to Revelations. The insightful ovservations of how God works through imperfect people along the way, and his message to all mankind through them are revealed throughout.

Helpful maps, charts and graphics are found every 6-10 pages. Margin notes found throughout the book are useful for quick scanning and review. The first 144 pages cover Genesis through Malachi and the last 99 cover Matthew through Revelation. (243 total pages. 28 chapters and two appendices)

The author holds graduate degrees in religion and history, including a Ph.D. in Reformation History from UCLA. His experience includes Preaching full time since 1986 after working as Dean of Student affairs at Pepperdine University and President of Comumbia Christian College. (paraphrased cover information)

The book is written from a factual, evangelical perspective, and doesn't have any particular denominational slant.

I'd recommend this book for beginning and intermediate Bible sudents. It might make for a good class as well.

I haven't read anything by this author before.
