Summary: Reinterpretation of original sin denies need for baptism
Review: As a practicing Catholic and Seminarian, I found this book to be very frustrating. I found misquotations and in general, citations taken out of context. The most disturbing factor in this book is that he denies the need for baptism to overcome original sin and claims that it is representative of a contemporary Catholic view.

Summary: Unbalanced ideas
Review: The author of this book hardly accomplishes that which is in the title "Balancing Original Sin and Contemporary Science". Rather he takes Roman Catholic theology and bends and shapes it to fit around a scientific view, and uses odd philosophy to back up his claims.
