Summary: Bulling is remarkable
Review: Dr. Bullinger was one of those rare Christians that sought to find the truth at any cost. He was not content with the "status quo" of traditionally orthodoxy. His books remain monumental to seekers of truth. His books dig further than any modern writer has done on the subjects he undertook. His Greek Concordance and dictionary is still widely used today. His awesome book on "Figures of Speech" is still considered a classic.

This book under review is one of my all time favorite books of all time. I would go so far as to say that if I could have only one book outside the bible for reference, this would be the book. Its subjects cover vast amount of material and go into great detail shedding light on the bible. This is the reason why it is called "How to Enjoy the Bible". It is certainly enjoyable to read the Bible when you understand it.

Summary: Great for any who believe the bible is the Word of God.
Review: This book does very well at providing the bible student a clear foundation and understanding for building upon. In his initial teaching, he uses scripture to show that, scripture is not something we are to interpret, but that God has given us the Bible and the Holy Spirit to interpret Himself. Bullinger is very explicit that he wrote the book for those who accept the Bible as the Word of God and chooses not to provide proof of its inspiration.

Summary: Ok, but how do I enjoy this?
Review: This book is interesting, but misnamed. It is not "How to Enjoy the Bible," but rather, "Keys to interpreting the Bible through a dispensational worldview, given the preconceived notion that the Bible, properly understood, will contain zero errors or contradictions."
Some day, I will write a book about this one, and I will call it, "How to Enjoy 'How to Enjoy the Bible.'"
This is not an enjoyable book.
Which is not to say this book has no value. It has much value. If you're willing to stick with it, and you're willing to accept the author's premise that the Bible is inherently error-free, then you will see challenges and a respect for the Bible that sometimes seems increasingly rare. You may not agree with all of the author's conclusions, but you will have to admit that countering his conclusions takes work and a great knowledge of the Scriptures. It's not a shoddy piece of work.
My only concern is that he has the word "enjoy" in the title, and that might lead readers to believe this book is a light and fun read. It is neither. But it is worth your time.

Summary: clarifying
Review: This is the only way to study the Bible. All other ways cause confusing. Check out other books written by Bullinger at this site. Read all and the end result is understanding.
