Review: The Introduction of "Beyond the Quiet Time" is fascinating and if it were the alone part of the book that was any good then I would still have to rate the book a "4 out of 5". "Beyond the Quiet Time" takes modern approaches to Christian spirituality and explains them and makes them practical. Dr. McGrath as the ability to take the difficult and make it understandable. He has taken this ability and used it within the field of Christian Spirituality in order to help people experience God. The Introduction explains the importance of Christian Spirituality and the remaining 5 chapters of the book take you through 5 times of devotion. It is not often that one of the worlds prominent theologians "descends" to the world of personal devotion. I am thankful that Dr. McGrath did!
