Summary: Conversational Chats in Christ's Life
Review: I want to say that this is my first experience reading a book by Max Lucado. I enjoyed the book very much as it covered key points in the life of Christ. These stories I had read and hear told many times but the way it is written here gives new meaning and new life to these stories. The book is wonderfully written, complete with introductions, pictures and descriptions that come alive. These all come in a small, compact form that allows for easy reading, taking along and thought provoking memories that are in a conversational style that is easy to understand and a joy to read. Just as an example in the story of- Jesus Raises A Widow's Son he goes into the verses covered and then talks about the relationship between the woman and what she was feeling and what her needs were at that moment. The book uses as references several books written by Max Lucado as notes after the verses. This is what makes the book and why it is a very useful and informative book for anyone to read who wants to understand Jesus, his life and meaning and how he interacted with those around him and his world.

Summary: The Greatest Moments in the Life of Christ
Review: When was the last time you stopped to smell the roses? To watch a sunrise/sunset with someone you love? Slowing down long enough to stand in awe as God displays Himself anew? I believe that this is the heart of this book...Max is reminding us of how it only takes a moment to radically change our lives-history. Using excerpts from his other writings he has created "forty-four" moments from the life of Christ for us to experiance afresh. It is the perfect size to slip into a purse or backpack, so when you have a minute you can find refreshing. Or it can be used as a 'daily devotional'. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who could use a dose of refreshing and encouragement.
