Rating: Summary: Packed with interesting information from cover to cover! Review: This book is a little gem! Full of interesting facts, historical recounts, sociological/anthropoligal and theological information regarding the role of Chicanos/Chicanas in shaping the Catholic Church. This book focuses locally on individual issues and brings them to life with much color and essence. By the time the reader is done with any particular chapter, you feel truly educated about numerous issues. This book is highly recommended for anyone interested Popular Catholicism, Folk Catholicism, Chicano Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, and most importantly Catholic Theology. The contributing writers exceed and go far beyond my expectations in regards to content. Highly recommended!!!
