Rating: Summary: Evangelism God's Way Review: Chafer depicts in this book an analysis from the Bible of the two most important things about witnessing for Christ. First the importance of sharing the correct information, that Christ being God became man, paid the penalty of the entire human race for sin on the cross by his spiritul death, and rose again to provide eternal life. This eternal life can be obtained by the simple act of belief in the savior. The second thing stressed in the book is the necessity of prayer for the unbeliever, for only God can bend the will of an unbeliever. If only the church would discard its gimmicks and rely on God's truth and focus on the accuracy of the message a great revival might occur. Chafer's book is a witness to this truth.

Rating: Summary: Deserves zero stars. Review: This book directly attacks the methods of evangelism that have resulted in mass revivals over the past century. When the book was first published in 1946, the independent publisher lost money and had to drop it from his list. Then Sunday School Times published it, and after it proved unprofitable they let it go out of print. Then Moody Press took it and billed it as a "revolutionary book" which evangelists needed. They too eventually disposed of it. Then it was taken by Van Kampen Press in Wheaton; after losing thousands of dollars, they went out of business. Then Dunham Publishing Company took it, at which point John R. Rice suggested that the curse of God was on the book, saying "Watch to see what God will do with Dr. Dunham and his publishing company." That company, to the best of my knowledge, is no longer in existence."The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise." Proverbs 11:30 "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever." Daniel 12:3 "When I say to the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand." Ezekiel 33:8
