Summary: Good for orthodoxy!
Review: This is a fine book on a much needed issue: the arising of a new cult-like movement. Hyperpreterism seems to be confusing a number of young Christians who are disenchanted with the "Left Behind" materials. They are correct to be disappointed with the naivete of Left Behind, but they are throwing the baby out with the bath water when they discount the universal Christian church's view of Christ's Second Coming, the future resurrection of the dead, and so forth.

If you have never seen a new cult arise, hang around. This book highlights some of the strange theology fueling this new movement. It is a must read in that it very effectively shows that the Christian church has understood the Bible's teaching on Christ's second coming. Unlike the claims of the hyperpreterists, who say all Christians, all churches, all denominations, and all theologians have been mistaken about Christ's promise to come again to end world history, and about his promise to raise again from the dead all men (John 5:25-29), and about the fact that earth history will one day end.

Get this book and read it. They are coming for a soul near you!
