Rating: Summary: Years A, B, C should have been separated from one another. Review: An excellent Lectionary from almost every point of view. Each reading is on a page by itself and divided into sense lines. The type style is very easy on the eyes. And, thank goodness, the Alleluia verse is now included before the Gospel reading -- a very irritating omission in previous lectionaries. One significant negative in this edition: Each of the A, B, and C cycles of the readings should have been printed in separate sections of the lectionary. This edition has them all together. For example, to skip from the A readings of Sunday 8 in ordinary time to Sunday 9, you have to turn all the pages of Sundays B and C. I find this very irksome, and not infrequently it causes confusion for even the well-prepared reader. It would have been far more logical that all the readings of cycle A be together in Sunday sequence, followed by the readings of the B cycle, and then the C cycle. I sincerely hope that the publishers will make this obvious correction in the arrangement of the readings in future editions of the lectionary.
Rating: Summary: Too Bulky for Home Use Review: I'm sure this book is just fine for use in church, but I bought it for Mass preparation at home. For that purpose, it's much too heavy.
