Rating: Summary: Excellent Book! Review: I have always thought that grief was about death. I learned from this book that many of our difficulties in life have grief associated with them. When our "assumptive world" begins to fall apart, we experience grief whether it is due to a death, some kind of tragedy, or any kind of loss. The Ashton's work on grief is perfect for the LDS individual who knows that the knowledge of the gospel and the plan of salvation doesn't take the pain away. After all, Jesus wept. Not because he didn't know God's plan, not because he feared all was lost, but because he loved Lazarus, and grieving is normal and natural. You will absolutely LOVE the Ashton's after you read their personal encounters with loss and their wisdom about healing.
