Review: Having had the pleasure of listening to Dr McKenna on several occasions over the last year it was a delight to be able to read her insights. This book left me with some very challenging thoughts on the beatitudes, never again will I be able to read The Beatitude texts in the same way

I would highly recommend this book to all who have any interest in the Gospels. It is crammed full of useful stories about Zen masters, Jewish rabbis, Japanese, gods, Sufi mystics and other stories by such well known figures as Thomas Merton and Leo Tolstoy and it is through these stories that we learn so much more of the hidden depth in Jesus' parables.

It is especially useful for those of us who have to write "another" sermon on The Beatitudes.
