Summary: Great Book
Review: Although I felt the beginning was a tad long in explaining the characters, I liked this book very much. The story picks up a rapid pace just where it should, at the Rapture. I was so engrossed in the story at that point, that I finished it in two days by staying up until two in the morning until I finished it!

Summary: Excellent
Review: I first read this book a few years ago. I gave my first issue to a member of our church. I wanted so much to read it again, I purchased another one. Believe it or not, I gave this one to someone also after I read it again. Now, I'm getting another copy to keep in my library. I have the desire to read it and the sequel "The Fourth Millenium". Even though it is written fictionally, there are many truths in it, regarding the end times. If you read your Bible along with it, it may just answer some questions to him or her who is seeking God. Excellent book.

Summary: Weak
Review: I have to agree with the other reviewers who have pointed out that this novel is simply not very good. With so many quality endtime novels that explore the concept in a superior way, it's become obvious that The Third Millenium is just a [copy] of Left Behind. Both We All Fall Down and the Christ Clone novels are far superior to this book

Summary: the first book I ever read
Review: I loved this book. I must admit, I just picked it up to have something to do while waiting for my daugther to get out of a class, but this book was so intriguing that I could,t put it down. I read it in two days. That is good for a busy person. I made time for the book. I disagree with the other reviewers. This book can't be a copy of the "Left Behind" books because it was written first. While those books may go into more detail, this one is an intense quick read. I highly recommend it

Summary: the first book I ever read
Review: I was 17 when I picked up this book and like my title reads it was the first book that i had ever read. (well at least the first with out pictures in it.) I was sitting on my couch looking for a show on the tv and I noticed this book on the shelf. I decided that since there wasn't anything else to do to read it. Let me tell you I have not read a book since that has captured me as much as this one. I thought that it was a beautiful book and I couldn't help but to keep turning the pages. I think that I read it in three days and I have not looked back since. I will tell you now that I don't know if I would like it if I went back and read it again but I can tell you that to me this will always be the greatest book in the world. and I might add that this is a perfect book for those who were like me. A new reader does not want to start with a 20 book seris. It is a self contained book even though they tried to make a second book, and it is an easy read.

Summary: BAD, VERY BAD
Review: This book had potential, but the terrible character developement and choppy flow of the book blew it. The end leaves you with more questions than the LEFT BEHIND SERIES books do!!!

Summary: Not very good
Review: This is one of the worst endtimes novels I've ever read. The dialouge is horrible, the characters paper thin and the plot obvious and boring. There's much better out there. Save your money and try We All Fall Down by Caldwell or the Last Day by Kleier. Both are thoughtful, wonderful reads. This is neither

Summary: Great introduction to the truth of the Bible and the endtime
Review: This was my first end times novel and while I agree with some of the criticisms of the writing style, etc., what Meier did for me as a new Christian was immeasurable! If anything, the book gives a complete, albeit simplistic, overview of the Rapture through the Second Coming of Jesus. I consider it a "primer" end times novel. After you have a grip on how the end times could happen, it's informative to read other novels that have different perspectives. What no one else has reviewed but which really placed this novel high on my list was the epilogue illustrating the truth and soundness of the Bible through an overview of fulfilled prophecy. Even if you don't like the word play in the novel itself, the epilogue is fascinating and informative reading. In fact, it was the reason that I began to read and research the Bible for myself and the rest, as they say, is history!
