Review: This is an excellent prayer book for those who want to pray the full Litury of the Hours (Divine Office) but have difficulty with the size and scope of the full Office. A Shorter Morning and Evening Prayer allows one to start out slow as they learn to adjust their schedule to permit focused prayer time. The length of the prayers makes it easier to develop a regular routine that can lead to deeper devotion and extended prayer time. A great book for beginners!
