Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: God for Grownups Review: God for Grownups is an excellent book for anyone looking for information about God and how God is seen through the different books of Scripture. Ms Smith has a unique way of getting the message across, with both laughter and tears. She leads you through the books of the Bible in a very interesting way by looking at one theme, two events, three people, four types of writing found in the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament). As she talks about Christian Scriptures (New Testament), you gain an understanding of who the author of each book might be, the community the author is writing to and the situations they are experiencing. The last chapters present an introduction to Near East religions (Judaism and Islam) and Far East religions (Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucism, Shintoism, Taoism) and how each looks at God. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking God or knowledge about God, it is a wonderful read!
