Summary: A Pure Christmas Message
Review: This is, without a doubt, the best monologue on life, Christ, and Christmas I've ever experienced. It's deeply religious without beating you over the head with it's message. Along the way it applies the secular traditions of Christmas with gentility and reverence and has the best discussion of Santa Claus ever.

This book follows Mr. Durrant's life and chronicles his personal experiences and perceptions of Christmas starting as a boy and progressing into manhood and then fatherhood. It's an amazing and captivating story more like the best fiction than real life, yet it is impossible to doubt it's simple truth.

George Durrant is a Mormon but this book is broadly Christian and should appeal to any person of faith. Durrant paints with words in the tradition of Norman Rockwell, creating vivid images of holiday joy and pure faith. This beautiful, simple, faithful, book is a true and pure celebration of Christmas and it deserves to be part of your christmas tradition.

On a side note, get the audio book if you can. George Durrant narrates it and his endearing vocal style lends a lot to the experience.
